Blume webinar: VUCA - strategic thinking in unusual times

Friday 11th September 10 am

Blumer Andrea Moffat is offering a free 60-minute webinar to explain how charities can use the VUCA framework – Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity – to make strategic decisions in these unusual times.

Overview

Why?

We're living in and trying our best to cope with very turbulent times that impact our personal and work spaces.  There's talk of 'a new normal' and 'when things get back to normal', and even if any of this comes about then we can 'bet our bottom dollar' that some new political, economic, social, technological, legal, environmental or ethical challenge is waiting for us just around the corner.  So we've got to get better at riding the waves so that we can respond, be more agile and resilient.  If you agree with this, then that's why this 60-minute invitation event and webinar is for you.

Who is this webinar for?

You're likely to be a CEO, MD, COO or HR Director responsible for the direction of the charity.  You are thinking about the long term, leading in complex and ambiguous circumstances, analysing the sector's realities, and tussling with unknown unknowns.

What will we cover?

Well, this session won't give you the answers, let's be clear here.  If the answers were known, then they wouldn't be unknown unknowns!  But it will introduce you to VUCA: volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity to enable you to revisit your own strategic thinking against other potential challenges that might emerge.

How will we work together?

A fast-moving webinar, with a VUCA reminder, and reference to related research and thought leaders.

Where will we work?

On the web, of course.  60 minutes of a combination of PowerPoint, case studies, polls and breakout rooms.

When will this take place?

Friday 11th September 10.00
