Exclusive Blumer only webinar! Freelancing and money.
How your money story risks sabotaging your success.
Save your seat!
You asked, we listened! Blumers of all ages and at different stages of their freelance career have many questions about money – How much to charge? Should you charge? How much do they charge? When should you charge more? The list goes on...
So, to give you a helping hand, we’ve hunted down fellow freelancer and freelancer trainer, Jane Curtis, who will go through everything money to ensure you’re not sabotaging your success.
This free session explores the often-unconscious relationship freelancers have with money, how it shapes their business decisions, and how to begin shifting limiting beliefs to unlock greater financial confidence and success.
Overview:
Understanding Your Money Story
Our relationship with money is deeply personal and often unconscious.
Jane will discuss the origins of money stories – childhood experiences, family attitudes, cultural messages, and sector conditioning and how these narratives become particularly pronounced for women in self-employment.
The Hidden Sabotage
How money stories manifest as self-sabotage in freelance careers.
In this section, Jane will address the psychology of financial avoidance – why freelancers might delay invoicing, undercharge, or avoid financial planning altogether. She'll explain why simply raising prices isn't the answer.
Income Pattern Recognition
We'll guide you through the process of analysing your income pattern over 3–5 years, to help you identify whether you're maintaining consistent growth – or plateauing at certain income levels – whilst pinpointing the ups and downs. Is this your internal money ceiling, or simply a reflection of market conditions?
Capacity to Receive
Jane will guide you through a short visualisation exercise to help you explore your own capacity to receive money. This will support you in identifying any internal blocks you may have around receiving or holding onto money.
Moving Forward
The session will finish with some practical steps you can take away to start rewriting your own money story, with a focus on awareness as the first step toward change. Jane will share some resources for further work on your financial mindset.
Q&A
Over to you – we'll open the floor to questions and reflections.
About your host:
Introducing Jane Curtis!
Jane is a trainer, speaker, mentor, event specialist and consultant who works with charities and charity professionals looking to see and do things differently – so they can get better results, live the life of their dreams, and make a big impact in the world.
In 2018, Jane left a secure Head of Events role to establish herself as a freelancer. Since then, she has worked with hundreds of fundraisers and dozens of charities through one-to-one mentoring, group training programmes, event project management, a membership she created and enrolled over 100 event fundraisers into, and a wide range of consultancy projects.
She has also delivered multiple live, in-person workshops and spoken at numerous conferences.
Jane understands the charity sector – its challenges, its constraints, and the limited mindset it can often bring to big questions. She knows how frustrating that can be when you're someone who sees the potential for more. She gets it – because she’s been there.
Jane’s work is driven by a simple goal: to help others continue changing the world while fulfilling their purpose.
